ALISON KELLY

Alison Kelly has performed in over 75 operas, operettas, musicals and plays. Her most notable rôle is Christine in The Phantom of the Opera, directed by Hal Prince in Hamburg for two years. Her favourite operetta rôles have been in: Arizona Lady, Girl in the Train (US première), Mitislav the Modern, Gypsy Love, The Merry Widow and seven of the Gilbert and Sullivan ingenues. Operas include The Barber of Seville, The Daughter of the Regiment and Street Scene. Her favourite musical rôles are in West Side Story, Brigadoon, and Jane Eyre. She has appeared as a soloist in works by Berlioz, Fauré, Handel, Haydn and Villa-Lobos. Alison Kelly is a member of the Chicago Symphony Chorus and general director of Chicago Folks Operetta.
