Marianne E. Andersen received her vocal training in London at the Royal Academy of Music where she graduated with the highest honours. Her voice teachers have included Ileana Cotrubas, Vera Rozsa, Viorica Cortez, Kari Frisell and Ingrid Bjoner. In 1995 she made her début recital in the Oslo University Hall with pianist Einar Steen-Nøkleberg. She has sung in New York, London, Barcelona, Lyon, Budapest, Reykjavik and Slovenia, has been guest soloist at various international festivals, and appeared with Norwegian State Opera, Scottish Opera, Welsh National Opera, Opera Vest, Music Theatre Wales, and at the state theatres of Darmstadt, Wiesbaden and Oldenburg.
