A graduate of the Pesaro Rossini Conservatory, Andrea Concetti completed his studies with Sesto Bruscantini and Mietta Sighele. He won the 46th International A. Belli Competition in Spoleto, where he made his début in 1992. In 2000 he was invited by Claudio Abbado to sing Don Alfonso in Ferrara in Così fan tutte, a rôle repeated under Abbado in 2004. He has enjoyed an international career that has taken him to leading theatres in Germany, Portugal, Chile, France, Austria, Edinburgh, the United States and throughout Italy. In the Mozart celebrations of 2005–2006 he made his début as Figaro in Le nozze di Figaro at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, singing Don Alfonso in Brussels, Minnesota and Rome, and Leporello at the San Carlo in Naples. He has worked with the most distinguished conductors and made his début at La Scala in Milan in the 2007/2008 season in the world première of Fabio Vacchi’s Teneke, with appearances in L’elisir d’amore at the Berlin State Opera and La Cenerentola in Zurich.
