The tenor Andreas Hirtreiter studied at the Musikhochschule of his native city of Munich and acquired early experience of ensemble singing in various professional choirs, including the Stuttgart and the Saarbrücken Chamber Choir. He was later a member of the well known vocal ensemble Singer Pur, bringing collaboration with the Hilliard Ensemble. For some ten years he was been a member of the augmented chorus of Bavarian Radio, of which he became a full member in September 2003. He also has experience as a double bass player, percussionist, composer, arranger, author and teacher.
