ANDREAS MITSCHKE Born in Kirberg, Hessen, Andreas Mitschke studied at the Cologne Musikhochschule. From 1988 to 1991 he was with the Enschede Opera Forum, from 1991 to 1996 with the Flauen Vogtland Theatre and in 1996-97 with the Basel Messe Musical Theatre. He has made guest appearances in national and international houses and since 2004- 2005 has been a member of Erfurt Theatre. His serious stage rôles have included those of Ramphis, Sarastro, Komtur, Crespel, and the Old Hebrew, among others, while comic and character rôles have included Baron Ochs von Lerchenau, Plumkett and Figaro.
