ANDREW CONSTANTINE Andrew Constantine, conductor
After winning the first Donatella Flick Conducting Competition in 1991, Andrew
Constantine studied at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena, the Turin Opera and
with Ilya Musin at the St Petersburg Conservatory. In 1992 he won acclaim for
his first concert with the London Philharmonic Orchestra at the Royal Festival
Hall and has continued to work with a number of orchestras, including the Hallé,
the English Chamber Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in England,
the Talich Chamber Orchestra in Prague and the Irish National Symphony Orchestra.
He has more recently been invited to conduct the St Petersburg Philharmonic
Orchestra, the Sofia Philharmonic and the Komische Oper in Berlin. Andrew Constantine
is Principal Conductor of the Sinfonia of Birmingham.
