ANDREW EARLE SIMPSON (b 1967 )
Andrew Earle Simpson, composer, pianist, and organist, is ordinary professor at the Benjamin T. Rome School of Music of The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. A composer of opera, silent film, orchestral, chamber, and choral music, he explores how music, both in concert and on stage, interacts with other arts. His own works make multi-faceted connections with literature, visual art, and film, reflecting his fundamental “humanistic” interest in linking music intimately with the wider world.
