ANNE WIEBEN Born in the United States, the mezzo-soprano Anne Wieben studied at the University of Minnesota and the Vienna Conservatory. She has sung Dorabella in Così fan tutte, Niklausse in Les contes d’Hoffman, Vittoria in The Gondoliers, Marcellina in Le nozze di Figaro, Miss Todd in The Old Maid and the Thief, Second and Third Lady in Die Zauberflöte and Florence in Albert Herring. In concert she has sung the parts of the Composer in Ariadne auf Naxos, Octavian in Der Rosenkavalier, Maddalena in Rigoletto, Flosshilde in Das Rheingold, as well as solo parts in Fauré’s Requiem and Saint-Saëns’s Christmas Oratorio.
