ANTONIO CERAVOLO

Antonio Ceravolo took his diploma in percussion with the highest mark and honourable mention at the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory in Venice with M° Dellisanti, and went on to study the timpani with Claudio Romano, the timpanist of the RAI Symphony Orchestra. He has worked with orchestras including the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI, Berlin Symphony Orchestra, the Venice Teatro La Fenice, Cagliari Teatro Lirico, Genoa Teatro Carlo Felice, Naples Teatro S. Carlo, the Verona Arena, Bolzano Haydn Orchestra, the Tuscany Regional Orchestra, the San Remo Symphony Orchestra, Pomeriggi musicali Milano, and the Sinfonica Siciliana. He has appeared as a soloist on several occasions with the Nova Musica Laboratory, a group specialising in the performance of contemporary music. He has collaborated with the Venice Biennale and participated in a number of recordings. As winner of a timpanist competition of the Orchestra Sinfonica di Roma, he has served in that position since October 2004.
