Central Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra

The Beijing Central Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra was founded in 1956 and now numbers some hundred members, directed and developed over the years in particular by Li Delun and Han Zhongjie. During the past thirty years the orchestra has given over two thousand performances in China and abroad, on occasions in collaboration with international musicians of the greatest distinction. The orchestra received special awards in 1981 and in 1987 from the Chinese Cultural Department
