Jeffrey Biegel enjoys a career as a pianist, composer and arranger. His recordings for Naxos include Leroy Anderson’s Concerto in C (8.559313), César Cui’s 25 Preludes (8.555557) and Vivaldi solo transcriptions (8.570031). For the 2009–10 season, Richard Danielpour composed a new concerto for him, entitled, Mirrors, the world première of which was given with the Pacific Symphony Orchestra, Carl St Clair conducting. For the 2010–12 seasons, he has created a new consortium project for William Bolcom’s Prometheus for piano, orchestra and chorus, also with the Pacific Symphony Orchestra, and is assembled a commissioning project for Ellen Taaffe Zwilich’s work for piano and orchestra for the 2011–13 seasons. Jeffrey Biegel is on the piano faculty at the Conservatory of Music at Brooklyn College, New York.
