BOSTON MODERN ORCHESTRA PROJECT
BMOP's strongest attribute is the artistic distinction of the orchestra. BMOP's
players, the overwhelming majority of whom reside in the greater Boston area,
are considered to be at the top of their field. Many of them specialize in the
performance of new music, and all are dedicated to realizing BMOP's mission.
The Boston Globe says that BMOP demonstrates "how classy our community
of freelance players is," and The New York Times claims, "Mr. Rose
and his team filled the music with rich, decisive ensemble colors and magnificent
solos. These musicians were rapturous - superb instrumentalists at work and
play."
