CAMERATA FINLANDIA The first concert of the Camerata Finlandia Chamber Ensemble was held in the Koskela church in Helsinki in 1990, supported by the Käpylä Orchestral Society.The ensemble is made up of orchestral musicians from all parts of Finland.
In 1997 Camerata Finlandia performed in a televised concert in the Turku Concert Hall marking the 80th anniversary of Finnish independence, playing Finnish classical favourites arranged especially for the occasion by the conductor Jorma Panula.
The co-operation with Jorma Panula has continued since then, especially in the field of Finnish music, including concerts at various music festivals with soloists from both Finland and abroad. Since 2007 Camerata Finlandia has began also to participate as the training orchestra for conducting master-classes.
