CATRINE KIRKMAN Catrine Kirkman studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Recent engagements include cover of Diana and Cupid (Orpheus in the Underworld) for Opera Holland Park, First Lady (Magic Flute) and Glasha (Ktya Kabanov) for English Touring Opera, Gretel for Opera Minima, Laodice in Hasse Siroe for Ensemble Serse, Barbarina (The Marriage of Figaro) and Miss Silverpeal (The Impresario) for Opera Brava, Sally in acclaimed new work Postcards from Dumbworld by Brian Irvine and John McIlduff in Belfast and Dublin, French Girl and Hotel Guest in the critically acclaimed new production of Britten’s Death in Venice at the 2007 Aldeburgh and Bregenz Festivals. Also in Bregenz Catrine played Make-Up Girl in Benedict Mason’s Playing Away directed by David Pountney. Catrine has toured the UK with Carl Rosa Opera, playing the roles of Lady Ella (Patience) and Phyllis (Iolanthe).
In concert, Catrine has worked with many great conductors including Sir Colin Davis, Paul Daniel Richard Egarr, Emanuelle Haim, Christian Curnyn, Andreas Scholl and Steven Stubbs and in venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, St Johns Smith Square, the Cadogan Hall, St Martin in the Fields, Huddersfield Town Hall, and the Snape Maltings Concert Hall.
