CHRISTINA WIELAND The soprano Christina Wieland was born in Stuttgart and studied in Karlsruhe with Ilse Mengis and Iris Braig-Unertl. She was several times a prizewinner in Jugend musiziert. After her early schooling she studied singing at the Freiburg Musikhochschule with Ingeborg Möller and Gerd Heinz (opera school). In addition to various operatic projects she has worked in Lieder and, above all, in oratorio. Since her graduation she has worked as a freelance singer and teacher. Her repertoire includes major oratorios and Masses, with a number of works of early music. In addition to regular concert activity, she also often collaborates with the Berlin RIAS Chamber Choir.
