CHRISTINA LANDSHAMER

Born in Munich, the soprano Christina Landshamer studied there at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater and at the Stuttgart Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst. In 2004 she was a prizewinner in the International JS Bach Competition and in the Munich Große Förderpreis-Wettbewerb der Konzertgesellschaft. In 2006 she received an award at the “La Voce” Lieder Competition. Important highlights in her career include concerts with the Munich Philharmonic, the Ghent Collegium Vocale, the Freiburg Barooque Orchestra, the NDR Radio Philharmonic, the Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra, the Gewandhaus Orchestra in Leipzig, both Bavarian Radio Orchestras, the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra in Prague, the Orchestre des Champs Elysées, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg, the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra and the Amsterdam Concertgebouw. She can be heard on CD in the St Matthew Passion conducted by Riccardo Chailly (Decca) and in Justin Heinrich Knecht’s Die Aeolsharfe for the Carus-Verlag label. On the cpo label she is featured in Engelbert Humperdinck’s Dornröschen and Franz Lehár’s Zarewitsch.
