CHRISTOPHER DAWES Christopher Dawes, among Canada's leading church musicians, concert organists and choral accompanists, is also an active theatre music professional, publisher and writer. A Fellow of the Royal Canadian College of Organists, he has performed across Canada, the United States and Europe. Currently principal accompanist to the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir, he works with most of Toronto's foremost choirs, and appears on several of Aradia's NAXOS releases. Mr. Dawes, who was organist in Toronto's St. James' Cathedral for twelve years until summer 2003, is an active member of Toronto's early music community, Founder/Artistic Director of OrgAlt.com (a production & communications company and tri-annual Internet journal dedicated to the organ in Canada), and Director of the Summer Organ Concerts and Academy at Stratford Summer Music.
