Christopher Finch is greatly in demand throughout Britain as a conductor, accompanist, vocal coach, répétiteur, and teacher. He is the founding musical director of the Wellensian Consort, and holds the post of choral director and accompanist at Wells Cathedral School, one of only four specialist music schools in England. He conducts the Wells Cathedral School Chapel Choir and the upper-voice choir, Choralia, and is musical director of the Bristol Bach Choir and the chamber choir, A Handful of Singers. As a pianist, Christopher Finch has worked as a répétiteur for the late Richard Hickox and accompanied the award-winning Bath Camerata directed by Nigel Perrin. He has acted as chorus master for Charles Hazelwood and John Rutter, and has performed throughout Europe, the United States and the Far East, and been broadcast widely in Britain and internationally. He is passionate about the importance of singing in education and is actively engaged in outreach as a choral advisor and guest conductor.
