The Comic Intermezzo chamber ensemble is made up of some of the leading early music specialists in America. The players have performed individually with leading music ensembles in the United States and abroad, including Lyric Opera of Chicago, Santa Fe Opera, Milwaukee Symphony, the Detroit Symphony, the Michigan Opera Theater, the New Jersey Symphony, Santa Fe Pro Musica, Ensemble Musical Offering, Apollo’s Fire, the Washington Bach Consort, Chatham Baroque, Les Cordes du Roy, Boston Early Music Festival, Tra i Tempi (Bonn), and Ensemble Corund (Lucerne,), Royal Danish Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, New York City Ballet and the Bolshoy Ballet. Recordings include Harmonia Mundi, Deutsche Grammophone, Sto-Lat, Koch, Musical Heritage, Dorian, Electra, Centaur and Cedille CD labels. Their studies took place at Juilliard, Yale, Eastman School of Music, University of Michigan, Indiana University, Northwestern University and at the Royal College of Music in London.
