CONVIVIUM MUSICUM CHORUS

The Convivium Musicum was founded in 1972 by Erika Kubacsek and Oscar Rodriguez. From the very beginning, the group has distinguished itself for achieving the highest standard of singing; it has also done pioneering work by presenting some of the lesser known choral masterpieces of the classical repertoire as well as many new works by contemporary composers. Founding member Oscar Rodriguez served as conductor for the first year. Luis Berber led the chorus from 1973 to 1978 and Erika Kubacsek from 1978 till 2001. Victor Luna is the present conductor of the group. With more than three hundred concerts since its creation thirty years ago, the Convivium Musicum has played a most important part in the musical life of Mexico.
