DANIEL KIRCH The lyric tenor Daniel Kirch was born in Cologne. He studied acting, singing, dancing and directing, and from 1994 was a student at the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne in the class of Hans Sotin. In 1996 he was among the winners of the VDMK Bundeswettbewerb Gesang Berlin. As a result of this success he has been invited for concerts and recitals as well as broadcasts by the WDR, NDR and MDR. In the 1997/98 season he became a member of the Komische Oper Berlin, with which he retains a guest artist contract, while undertaking a wide range of operatic rôles and concert engagements throughout Europe.
