DAVID FEDELE The recipient of many honours, David Fedele performed his acclaimed New York and Kennedy Center débuts as winner of the Young Concert Artists International Audition Award. He has performed as soloist and recitalist throughout the United States, Europe, South America and Asia. Festival appearances include Lincoln Center Festival and Spoleto USA among others. He tours nationally with his own trio, Trio Fedele, which recently gave the première of Lowell Liebermann's Trio No. 2, written for the group, at The National Flute Association Convention. He performs and has recorded with numerous ensembles including the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, the Steve Reich Ensemble, and Ensemble 21. He is a graduate of the Curtis Institute and the Juilliard School, where he studied with Julius Baker. He currently serves as Professor of Flute at the University of Kansas.
