DAVID MULBURY David Mulbury has been heard as a recitalist throughout the United States, Canada and Europe, receiving acclaim for his virtuosity, his talent for registration, and particularly for his outstanding Bach performances. His keen interest in and study of historic organs in Europe, as well as his study under many renowned teachers both in Germany and America, including the eminent Bach interpreted Helmut Walcha, David Craighead and Edward Rechlin, has prepared him as an artist-scholar of the organ whose performances have been described as "artistic revelations".
After being named winner of the national Young Artists Competition of the American Guild of Organists, he spent two years in Germany as a Fulbright scholar, followed by a D.M.A. degree in performance and pedagogy from the Eastman School of Music. David Mulbury has been a member of the faculty at the College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati, since 1968, where his frequent faculty recitals have attracted an enthusiastic following.
