DAVID OBERG David Oberg is the artistic director/conductor of the newly established Orchestra of Discovery, based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Previously, he was music director/conductor of the Chamber Orchestra of Albuquerque. He has conducted numerous orchestras, including the Arkansas Symphony, the Lexington Philharmonic, the Milton Keynes City Orchestra (England), and the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra (NPRSO). With the NPRSO he has conducted many recordings for the Naxos, North/South, and Opus One labels. For his dedication to music and education, David Oberg received the 2005 Bravo Award for Music Excellence from the Albuquerque Arts Alliance. He was chair of the University of New Mexico John D. Robb Musical Trust and is now honorary member. He serves as an advisory panelist for New Mexico Arts, a division of the New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs and the National Endowment for the Arts.
