PALIMPSEST ENSEMBLE

Founded in 2009, Palimpsest Ensemble is San Diego’s only ensemble dedicated to works of modern music. With repertoire ranging from masterworks of the twentieth century to new works of today’s most significant composers, its members are drawn chiefly from the graduate program in Contemporary Music Performance at the University of California, San Diego, with guest artists from the San Diego Symphony. Palimpsest Ensemble’s programs and projects are led by UCSD faculty members Steven Schick, Aleck Karis, Rand Steiger and Susan Narucki.
