Fabio Bidini is among the leading young pianists of his generation. He had his first piano lessons at the age of five and gave his first public concert six months later. He was one of the youngest graduates, magna cum laude, from the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia in Rome. In the following years he won eleven of the most important Italian piano competitions, including both the audience and special prizes. His London début in the Barbican Centre with the London Symphony Orchestra won high critical acclaim. In 2005 he accepted a professorship in the piano department of the Berlin Universität der Künste, with further advancement in 2009, when he was appointed to one of the most distinguished positions of its kind in Germany at the world-renowned Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin, where he continues as a professor. He is an official Steinway Artist.
