Fabio Maria Capitanucci is a regular guest at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, where he has sung Marcello in La Bohème, Cavalier Belfiore in Un giorno di regno, Sharpless in Madama Butterfly, Lescaut in Manon, and Guglielmo in Così fan tutte. Since 2005 he has frequently been invited to appear at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro. He has also sung in other prestigious venues: Frankfurt (Belcore in L’elisir d’amore), Genoa (Don Alvaro in Il viaggio a Reims), Genoa, Dresden, Madrid, Arena di Verona and Atlanta in the United States (La Bohème), Turin and Dresden (Conte in a new production of Le nozze di Figaro), Palermo (Figaro), Dresden (Sharpless in Madama Butterfly, Ford in Falstaff and Dandini in La Cenerentola), Marseille (Enrico in Lucia di Lammermoor) and at the Florida Grand Opera, Miami, and Genoa (Malatesta in Don Pasquale). A winner of the 52nd Singing Competition in Spoleto and a recipient of the Renato Bruson Prize, he attended the Accademia di Perfezionamento del Teatro alla Scala in Milan.
