FERNAND BERNARDI The bass Fernand Bernardi studied at the Toulouse Conservatoire, winning the UFAM first prize in 1985 and triumphing in the 1990 Spoleto competition. His early success was followed by engagements in Spain and in Italy and his career continued at opera houses in Geneva, Lyons, Lille, Avignon, Bordeaux and Rome, with appearances in the concert hall in oratorio and in recital at home and abroad. His repertoire ranges from Mozart to Berlioz, Massenet, Richard Strauss and Benjamin Britten and he has appeared with Les Arts Florissants in France and in a concert tour of the United States of America.
