VICENTE FERNANDEZ

The oboist Vicente Fernández Martínez was born in Madrid and studied there at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música with Angel Beriaín, winning the Premio de Honor Fin de Carrera and the Premio de Honor in chamber music. He also worked with teachers including Ingo Goritzki, Eduardo Martínez, Emmanuel Abhül, Diethelm Jonas and Stefan Schilli. He has been principal oboist of the Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid since its establishment in 1987 and is professor of oboe at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música Arturo Soria and the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid.
