FRANCISCO BERNIER Winner of the First Prize at the prestigious International Competition Michele Pittaluga in Alessandria (Italy), Francisco Bernier has enjoyed a full career, with performances in over thirty countries around the globe and on such prestigious stages as the Salle Cortot and the Théâtre Mogador in Paris, the Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux, Oji Hall in Tokyo, Kyoto Concert Hall, the Hermitage Museum of St Petersburg, Teatro Maestranza in Seville, Teatro Comunale in Alessandria, Merkin Hall in New York, and the Zellerbach Hall in San Francisco. Finalist in the Concert Artist Guild of New York and recipient of more than twenty international prizes, he has performed with many orchestras, including the St Petersburg Camerata and the Berkeley Symphony of San Francisco, conducted by Kent Nagano. He studied at the Ecole Normale Alfred Cortot in Paris under the direction of Alberto Ponce, and also with Álvaro Pierri, Roland Dyens, Leo Brouwer and Oscar Ghiglia.
