NATHALIE GAUDEFROY The French soprano Nathalie Gaudefroy was born in Bordeaux and began her musical studies with the piano and violin at the Strasbourg Conservatoire, going on to study singing with Elisabeth Dillenschneider. After a unanimously awarded gold medal, her prizes included awards for operatic performance, chamber music anad the orchestra prize at the Symphonies d’Automne. She studied further with Udo Reinemann and Christian Papis. A competition laureate at the 1998 and 2001 Voix Nouvelles, she made her début at the Opéra National du Rhin in Honegger’s Les aventures du Roi Pausole. She has appeared in recital, notably with the prize-winning Duo Arfana, with the harpist Anja Linder, and participated in festivals throughout Europe.
