GREGORIO POBLADOR

Gregorio Poblador completed his musical studies in voice at the Real Conservatorio de Madrid and at the Escuela Superior de Canto studying with soprano Teresa Tourné. In 1977 he won third prize in the Francisco Viñas Competition and first prize in the Verdi Competition. In 1978 he was selected by RTVE for the Bel Canto Opera Festival in Ostende (Belgium). He has been a member of medieval and baroque music groups, touring in America and Europe, with appearances in Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle and Monteverdi’s Il combattimento de Tancredi e Clorinda at the Madrid Teatro Real. He has also performed at the Semana de Música Religiosa in Cuenca, the Madrid Autumn Festivals, in the Alicante Festival of Contemporary Music and the London Almeida Festival. He has appeared at the principal Spanish theatres and festivals and for eight years in the Opera Festival of La Corunna.
