He has appeared regularly at the world’s greatest venues, including New York’s Metropolitan Opera and Carnegie Hall, Chicago Lyric Opera, Opéra National de Paris, Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, the Sydney Opera House and elsewhere. He has collaborated with many outstanding conductors including Riccardo Muti, Michel Plasson, Georges Prêtre, Sir Simon Rattle, Sir John Eliot Gardiner and Sir Colin Davis. His discography includes Bellini’s Bianca e Fernando, Rossini’s Semiramide, La donna del lago, Ermione, Zelmira, and Armida, Thomas’s Hamlet, Delibes’s Lakmé, Berlioz’s Benvenuto Cellini, and a Gramophone magazine award-winning DVD of the same composer’s Les Troyens at the Châtelet.
