HILARY CAMPBELL Hilary Campbell, the founder and director of Blossom Street, is a freelance musician, and is the Musical Director of Harpenden Music Makers, National Magazines’ Choir and the Music Makers of London. She has conducted the BBC Singers and Cardinall’s Musick in master-classes, and in addition to concerts in Britain, has conducted in Spain, France and Germany, as well as on BBC2, Channel 4 and BBC Radios 2 and 4. As a singer, Hilary Campbell performs as a soloist and with a number of ensembles, and undertook the mentor scheme with The Sixteen. A published composer, she became Composer-in-Residence for the Ebor Singers in 2008, having won their competition. She has won numerous other prizes, most recently second place in the Musica Sacra International Competition 2010. She was commissioned by Choir and Organ, and one of her works featured in Organists’ Review. She gained a distinction for her MA in Vocal Studies at the University of York, and will complete her studies at the Royal Academy of Music in Choral Conducting in 2012.
