Marian Tanau has been a member of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra violin section since 1995. He is an active soloist and chamber music performer both in his native Romania and in the United States. He is the organizer of the American Romanian Music Festival and a member of the music faculty at Wayne State University.
Hai-Xin Wu is Assistant Concertmaster of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. He has performed throughout the United States, Europe and in his native China. He has been a prizewinner in many competitions and has been a featured soloist with the Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra, the Manhattan Chamber Orchestra, among others. He teaches violin at Wayne State University.
Laura Roelofs is equally at home in the chamber music and orchestral fields. She performed for fourteen seasons as Assistant Concertmaster of the Richmond Symphony Orchestra, and as a member of the Oberon String Quartet. Since Fall 2004 she has been Assistant Professor of Violin and Music Education at Wayne State University, and was recently appointed Assistant Concertmaster of Michigan Opera Theatre in Detroit.
Andrew McIntosh has been Principal Cellist of the Windsor Symphony Orchestra since 1997. During that time he has also been active as a freelance cellist in Ontario and southern Michigan, playing regularly with the Canadian Opera Company, National Ballet, and Esprit orchestras in Toronto, as well as the Detroit Symphony and Michigan Opera Theatre in Detroit. During the summer he performs in the Lancaster Festival (Ohio) and the Stratford Festival.
