INGO NELKEN Ingo Nelken began his career in 1984 as a young pupil of Jean-Claude Gérard at the Hamburg Musikhochschule. From 1987 he studied at the Cologne Musikhochschule with András Adorján, graduating in 1992, followed by his concert diploma in 1994. With success in national and international competitions, he attended master-classes with Aurèle Nicolet, Jean-Pierre Rampal, William Bennett and Peter-Lukas Graf and has appeared with distinguished orchestras under conductors including Sergiu Celibidache, Christoph Eschenbach, Peter Gülke, Yehudi Menuhin and others, participating in international festivals, concerts, broadcasts and recordings. He is principal flautist of the Bonn Classical Philharmonic and the Cologne Chamber Orchestra.
