Jacob Heringman has established himself as one of the world’s most respected and most innovative solo lute players, and as a much sought-after ensemble player performing regularly throughout Europe, the Far East and the Americas. He has made many recordings with leading English singers and ensembles, including Michael Chance, Barbara Bonney, Catherine King, Fretwork, The Dufay Collective, The English Baroque Soloists, The King’s Consort, and many others. He plays on the soundtracks of many Hollywood films (including Harry Potter III, Kingdom of Heaven and Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood), and occasionally on pop albums (most recently, Joni Mitchell’s Travelogue).
