JEAN-MARC FESSARD Jean-Marc Fessard comes from the great tradition of the French clarinet school and is a graduate of the Paris Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique and of the University of Paris VIII. A laureate of international competitions of Paris, Illzach, Gdańsk and of the Jacques Lancelot Competition, he enjoys an international career, is the dedicatee of a number of works by contemporary composers, and has made some fifteen critically acclaimed recordings. He is the author of L’évolution de la clarinette (Editions Delatour) and is director of publications for Billaudot-Paris. He has taught at the Brussels Conservatoire Royal since 2004, and given master-classes in the Czech Republic (Prague Conservatory), Russia (St Petersburg Conservatory), Poland (Gdańsk, Poznań, Łódz, Katowice), the United Kingdom (Royal College of Music, London) and Brussels (Eugène Ysaÿe Institute). He is a member of the jury of the Gdańsk International Brahms Competition and the Łódz Alexander Tansman International Chamber Music Competition.
