JESPER TAUBE The Swedish baritone Jesper Taube received his musical training in his native Stockholm at the Adolf Fredrik Music School, Opera Studio 67 and the University College of Opera. Immediately after graduation he was invited to join the Soloists Ensemble at the Royal Opera in Stockholm, where he made his début as Dapertutto and Dr Miracle in Les contes d’Hoffmann in 1999. In Stockholm he has also performed the title rôle in Eugene Onegin, Marcello (La bohème), Figaro (Il barbiere di Siviglia), the Count (Le nozze di Figaro), Posa (Don Carlo), Moralès (Carmen), Belcore (L’elisir d’amore), Bobinet (La vie parisienne), and Marullo (Rigoletto). He also has appeared in Paris, Malmö, Florida, Baden-Baden and Chicago. Other engagements include Guglielmo (Così fan tutte), Wallenberg for the Estonian National Opera, and Ford (Falstaff), Dandini (La Cenerentola) and Yeletski in The Queen of Spades for the Royal Opera in Stockholm.
