JOHAN RYDH

The baritone Johan Rydh was born in 1967 and studied at the Gothenburg College of Music and at the Theatre and Opera College in Gothenburg. Among the rôles he has sung at the Gothenburg Opera are Escamillo in Carmen, the Sacristan in Tosca and Horn in Un ballo in maschera. He has appeared as a soloist in Brahms’s German Requiem, Bach’s Christmas Oratorio and St. John Passion, Haydn’s Seasons and Lars-Erik Larsson’s God in Disguise. He is in demand for song recitals, where he has a special interest in the works of Brahms, Schubert and Schumann.
