JORGE LIDERMAN  

Born in Buenos Aires, Jorge Liderman’s works have been commissioned and performed by the London Sinfonietta, the American Composers Orchestra, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Tanglewood Orchestra, the Nieuw Ensemble, the Arditti String Quartet, Cuarteto Latinoamericano and many other groups and by artists such as Oliver Knussen, Esa-Pekka Salonen, David Tanenbaum and Gloria Cheng. His music has been recorded by the CRI, Cadenza, ERM, Albany and Bridge labels. He joined the composition faculty at UC Berkeley in 1989. Aged Tunes was the penultimate work Jorge Liderman completed before his unexpected death at the age of fifty in 2008.
