JOSE GARCIA-QUIJADA

José García-Quijada was born in Madrid and graduated with distinction from the Madrid Vocal School in oratorio and opera. He subsequently followed courses with Gina Cigna, Maya Maischka, Marimi del Pozo and Vicente Sardinero, and is now working under Félix Lavilla. In 1987 he won an award in the Lograño International Competition and boasts a repertoire ranging from Monteverdi to Rossini, with a special emphasis on Mozart. His career has brought performances throughout Spain and abroad.
