KENT STATE UNIVERSITY WIND ENSEMBLE

The KSU Wind Ensemble is a select concert ensemble with a flexible instrumentation that enrolls the most proficient wind-percussion performers in the School of Music. Programs of the Wind Ensemble include the best literature composed for the traditional Wind Band as well as those compositions for winds that require a varied and specialized instrumentation. The Kent State University Band program is an integral part of the School of Music. Founded in l929, the band program has grown from a small beginning and now regularly enrolls over 300 students in the four principal band organizations.
