Kristina Miller-Koeckert was born in 1986 in Moscow into a musical family. Her outstanding talent gave her the first opportunities to perform as a soloist with orchestra at the early age of eight. Six years later she was invited to study in the special music school in St Petersburg. She also received a prize from the Russian Ministry of Culture, played concerts in Europe and the United States, and was invited every year to appear in Russia as a soloist with orchestras. After graduating at the special music school in 2004 she became a student at the St Petersburg Conservatory. From 2005 onwards she has appeared as the duo partner of the Tchaikovsky Competition laureate Nicolas Koeckert, with whom she has recorded many pieces for Bavarian Radio. With him she performs regularly throughout Europe, in the United States, Mexico and Brazil. In 2006 she won the Munich “Steinway” Award and entered the Munich Musikhochschule to continue her studies with the well-known pianist Gerhard Oppitz.
