RUDOLFO LLAMBIAS Rudolfo Llambias, piano
The Algentinian-Danish pianist Rodolfo Llambías was born in Buenos Aires,
Argentina, and studied with Arturo del Bono at the Conservatorio Nacional de
Música y Arte Escénica there, After winning the first prize in
a competition held by the Argentinian Ministry of Culture, Rodolfo Llambías
went to Paris to continue his studies with the Russian pianist Georges Chavchavadze
and Professor Magda Tagliaferro. Later he studied with Wilhelm Kempf and Guido
Agosti, then settled in Denmark, where he was appointed in 1970 as an associate
professor at the North Jutland Academy of Music. Since 1983 he has held a similar
post at the Carl Nielsen Academy of Music in Odense, Funen. He has travelled
all over Europe and South America as a soloist and chamber musician and has
appeared on radio and TV. With his wife, the pianist Tove Lønskov, Rodolfo
Llambías has formed a piano duo which enjoys great international recognition
and has won several prizes. The duo has recorded many CDs. In recent years Rodolfo
Llambías has resumed contacts with his native Argentina, which he visits
regularly as a soloist and guest teacher
