MAACHA DEUBNER Born in Freiburg, the soprano Maacha Deubner studied with Judith Beckmann in Hamburg and participated in master-classes with Kurt Widmer, Ralf Gothóni, Lorraine Nubar and Elisabeth Schwarzkopf. She has made guest appearances in music centres in Vienna, Leipzig, Dresden, Berlin, Cologne, Frankfurt, and Cairo, and in various festivals. In opera she has sung Donna Anna, Konstanze, Ilia and Fiordiligi (Mozart-TV-Film Wolfgang wer?), and Julia (Kelterborn) and has appeared in operas by Gluck, Verdi, Pousseur and Hindemith. In 2007 she sang Heloise in the Echo Klassik Prize recording of Ernst Krenek’s Sardakai.
