MARCO SCAVAZZA

The baritone Marco Scavazza graduated from the Rovigo Conservatorio Statale di Musica “Francesco Venezze” in French horn and singing. His career has focussed on a special interest in early music and collaboration with specialist directors of international distinction, as well as with major early music ensembles, including the Odecathon, with which he won the French Diapason d’Or of 2003 for Early Music and for Renaissance music in 2005. He is a co-founder of the Consortium Carissimi, for the recording and promotion of works by that composer.
