MARK RISINGER The bass Mark Risinger enjoys a career in the United States and Europe which encompasses opera, concert and recital.
He has appeared as soloist with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra of St Luke’s Chamber Ensemble, and the
orchestras of Fort Worth, Eugene and Charlotte, among others. His performances have taken him to Carnegie Hall,
Avery Fisher Hall, Boston’s Symphony Hall, the Kennedy Center, and the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia. His recent
opera engagements include the title role in Le nozze di Figaro with the Festival Lyrique-en-Mer, the title role in
Bluebeard’s Castle with the New England Philharmonic, Quince in A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Utah Opera,
Nourabad in Les pêcheurs de perles with Arizona Opera, and Frère Laurent in Roméo et Juliette with Fort Worth Opera.
In addition to two degrees in English literature, Mark Risinger holds a doctorate in musicology from Harvard University.
