MEASHA BRUEGGERGOSMAN
Measha Brueggergosman, soprano
The critically acclaimed soprano Measha Brueggergosman was awarded the Grand
Prize at the 2002 Jeunesses Musicales Montreal International Competition and
has been a prizewinner in other renowned competitions including the Wigmore
Hall in London, George London Foundation in New York, and Robert-Schumann in
Germany. In a busy international career she has appeared throughout North America
and Europe, including a Royal Command Performance for Queen Elizabeth II. She
also appeared as Liuin Turandot in a return engagement with Cincinnati
Opera. She has been honoured to sing for the Prince of Wales and for Nelson
Mandela. Recent operatic engagements have brought appearances in Turandot,
Elektra and Dead Man Walking with Cincinnati Opera, and, in the concert
hall, a recital debut at Roy Thomson Hall, and the Verdi Requiem with
Helmuth Rilling at the International Beethoven Festival Bonn.
