MOLLY YEH

Joining John Yeh on a recording [Naxos 8.572319] is his daughter Molly Yeh percussionist (the second of his three daughters). In September 2006, percussionist Molly Yeh made her Carnegie-Zankel Hall début on the PBS Television series, “From the Top.” She performed as soloist with host Christopher O’Riley, and as a member of the award-winning “Beat 3” percussion trio from Midwest Young Artists.

A gold medalist at both the 2004 and 2006 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, Molly Yeh began her musical studies at the age of three on violin and piano. Having attended Chicago Symphony Orchestra concerts from the age of two months, she has embraced percussion as her primary artistic outlet. She is currently a student at the Juilliard School Music, and was a senior at Glenbrook South High School when she recorded on this CD project.
